Hivda Koç was born in Ağrı / Dogubayazit. She migrated to Istanbul with her family at a young age. He continued his musical talent at a young age by studying music and baglama in Arif Sağ and folk music education institutions. The artist, whose main profession is Interior Architecture, also continued to be interested in music. After a long time, he met with music again with his first professional album “Sîya spî”. In the album consisting of 9 works, he sang works in three dialects of Kurdish, Kurmancca, Zazaki, Sorani and Turkish. The words of the Cevahir folk song belong to him. With this style, the artist aims to bring compositions and old folk songs to the present day, and to contribute to the future generations’ recognition and maintenance of their culture.
